El evento reuni\u00f3 a eurodiputados, responsables pol\u00edticos, profesionales de la salud, investigadores y representantes de pacientes para destacar la importancia de situar la obesidad en el centro de la acci\u00f3n europea sobre las ECNT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El D\u00eda Mundial de la Obesidad Europa es una campa\u00f1a anual liderada por la Coalici\u00f3n Europea para Personas que Viven con Obesidad y apoyada por la Asociaci\u00f3n Europea para el Estudio de la Obesidad. El enfoque para el D\u00eda Mundial de la Obesidad 2026 es crear una comprensi\u00f3n m\u00e1s clara de los tratamientos para la obesidad y el uso esencial del tratamiento de 360 grados para controlar la enfermedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.mepactionobesity.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WODay_2026-_2-1024x683.jpg?strip=all\" alt=\"Six people sit at a panel table in a conference room. El debate tambi\u00e9n cont\u00f3 con las aportaciones de una serie de expertos de diferentes \u00e1reas de enfermedades y organizaciones internacionales, como la Sociedad Europea de Cardiolog\u00eda, la Asociaci\u00f3n Europea para el Estudio del H\u00edgado, la Organizaci\u00f3n Europea del C\u00e1ncer, la Asociaci\u00f3n M\u00e9dica Griega para la Obesidad, la OMS Europa y la OCDE. Estas intervenciones destacaron la interconexi\u00f3n de la obesidad y otras ENT, incluidas las enfermedades cardiovasculares, ciertos tipos de c\u00e1ncer y las enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas y renales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La discusi\u00f3n se centr\u00f3 en:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reconocer la obesidad como una enfermedad cr\u00f3nica y recurrente<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inclusi\u00f3n de la acci\u00f3n sobre la obesidad en las estrategias de ECNT<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abordar el estigma y las desigualdades<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Llamada a una acci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica coordinada y basada en la evidencia sobre la obesidad<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras el evento, queremos asegurarnos de que un mensaje quede claro: no podemos hablar solo de la importancia de abordar la obesidad en el D\u00eda Mundial de la Obesidad. Con una prevalencia creciente en toda Europa y un% de la poblaci\u00f3n europea viviendo actualmente con sobrepeso u obesidad, este es un desaf\u00edo diario que debe ser abordado. Como eurodiputados por Acci\u00f3n contra la Obesidad, estamos comprometidos a continuar esta importante discusi\u00f3n durante todo el a\u00f1o.
