La discussione ha visto anche il contributo di una serie di esperti provenienti da diverse aree patologiche e organizzazioni internazionali, tra cui la Societ\u00e0 Europea di Cardiologia, l'Associazione Europea per lo Studio del Fegato, l'Organizzazione Europea per il Cancro, l'Associazione Medica Ellenica per l'Obesit\u00e0, l'OMS Europa e l'OCSE. Questi interventi hanno evidenziato l'interconnessione tra obesit\u00e0 e altre malattie non trasmissibili (MNT), tra cui malattie cardiovascolari, alcuni tipi di cancro e malattie del fegato e dei reni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La discussione si \u00e8 concentrata su:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Riconoscere l'obesit\u00e0 come malattia cronica e recidivante<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrare l'azione sull'obesit\u00e0 nelle strategie per le malattie non trasmissibili<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Affrontare lo stigma e le disuguaglianze<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chiamata ad un'azione politica coordinata e basata sull'evidenza sull'obesit\u00e0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A seguito dell'evento, vogliamo assicurarci che un messaggio sia chiaro: non possiamo parlare solo dell'importanza di affrontare l'obesit\u00e0 nella Giornata mondiale contro l'obesit\u00e0. Con una prevalenza in aumento in tutta Europa e il 25% della popolazione europea che vive attualmente in sovrappeso o obesit\u00e0, questa \u00e8 una sfida quotidiana che deve essere affrontata. In qualit\u00e0 di eurodeputati per l'Azione sull'obesit\u00e0, ci impegniamo a proseguire questa importante discussione durante tutto l'anno.
